Registration for the Conference
All participants, including the ones who are not giving a presentation, are required to register for the conference at the JAAS website. Even if you are not attending the conference, please fill in a proxy form at the same website.
After registration, please proceed to the payment of registration fee.
We strongly encourage you to complete registration and payment of the registration fee by

Social Gathering Registration Fee: JPY 5,000 (JPY 3,000 for students)

Thursday, April 25 . We will not accept bank transfer after April 25. If you have transferred the fee after this date, or if you have transferred the fee without registering for the conference at the JAAS website, you will be requested to pay the balance due at registration desk.

- Please note that the bank transfer fee should be paid by the participants.
- Please make sure to make a payment in the name of the conference participant. Please do not transfer money for multiple people at once. We ask for your cooperation in order to avoid misidentification of the transferor.
We will provide a receipt at the conference registration desk for those who have paid the registration fee by the above date. - If you wish to cancel your registration after you have paid the registration fee, please contact the secretariat of the 61th JAAS conference at least one day before the conference. The refund will be made at a later date after deducting the bank transfer fee.
- The onsite registration at the conference is also possible, but the onsite registration fee and social gathering are JPY 6,000 (JPY 4,000 for students).

Presentations
You can find the latest programme here (link to programme).
Oral presentations:
Presenters will have 12 minutes for their presentations and 3 minutes discussion time. A timekeeper will ring a bell once at 10 minutes and twice at 12 minutes. The last bell will ring three times at 15 minutes to inform you of the end of your presentation. Please don’t go overtime as oral presentation sessions will be on a tight schedule.
A PC installed with Windows 10 and Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2019 will be provided for your presentation. It should be possible to play audio and connect to the Internet with it. Kindly note that you will not be able to use your own PC for your presentation.
Please follow the two steps below to submit your presentation files in advance.
Those presenting on the morning of Saturday 18 → Copy to PC at presentation venue between 9:15 and 9:45
Those presenting on the afternoon of Saturday 18 → Copy to PC at presentation venue between 13:30 and 14:30
Those presenting on the morning of Sunday 19 → Copy to PC at presentation venue between 9:00 and 9:20
If you have handouts, please prepare the required number of copies yourself. It is not possible to make copies at the venue on the day of the event.
Poster presentations:
A poster size of A0 (120 cm x 84 cm) or smaller can be attached to the wall of poster presentation rooms. When you arrive at the conference venue, please inform the registration desk that you are making a poster presentation. The registration desk will give you the direction to your poster presentation room. You are expected to set up your own poster in the room. Adhesive tape will be provided.
The core time for poster presentations is from 13:30 to 14:20 on the 18th (Saturday). During that time, kindly be available at your poster to present your work. All participants can see the posters at any time during the conference.
Accommodation and Lunch
Please make your own accommodation reservations. There are relatively many hotels along the Osaka Metro and Kita Osaka Kyuko lines. Please also prepare your own lunch. Convenience stores, cafés and restaurants are available around the Minoh Campus, the venue of the Congress.
Childcare Service and Assistance for the hearing impaired
The registration for childcare is now closed. For assistance for the hearing impaired, please contact the congress secretariat directly.
Other Information
Eduroam will be available at the congress venue. Other Wi-Fi connections will also be available on the day of the Congress. You will get the information at the registration desk. Please note that it may be difficult to get a connection if there is a high concentration of access. We would appreciate your understanding.
